Intertwined was a contemporary fashion show held as part of Festival 2018 at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. GC2018 and 90 Seconds commissioned us to create a 60 second social media video to promote the event.
The video had to capture the intricate designs and highlight the importance of having an international platform to promote Aboriginal culture. Our solution included capturing the final dress rehearsal and conducting interviews with the models and designers. The questions we developed were designed to evoke emotional responses about what it meant to be taking part in the performance. In post-production we worked closely with the GC2018 team to select music, produce the storyline and design the graphics.
A tight deadline meant the video had to be finalised within a week of the shoot. It was pushed out to more than 600,000 followers on Facebook through the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and Festival 2018 pages and received more than 10,000 views.
