Tangalooma Island Resort is one of Australia’s most unique holidaying and conferencing venues. In 2019, the resort hosted the first official Global Link Queensland event – an international student conference that aims to inspire young people to come up with initiatives to save the planet.
Our brief was to create a six minute event video that could be used to promote next year’s Global Link Queensland to domestic and international markets. Our solution was to create a short documentary-style video with interviews and highlights of the conference. We worked closely with the Tangalooma Island Resort marketing team to identify interviewees, develop key messages and write questions. Our aim was to capture the greater purpose of the conference and inspire more students to take part in the future.
We captured 20 interviews over three days and hours worth of student presentations. We also filmed footage of the resort with a drone to highlight its unique location. The final video has been posted on the Tangalooma Island Resort website and is being used to attract domestic and international student groups.
Adam’s attention to detail from initial brief through to final production was impeccable and his background in journalism and public relations meant that he was able to think outside the brief to deliver the full story. In today’s world of ‘anyone with a camera is an expert’ - Adam is a real pro.
